We went home for a few days. It was a great trip -- except for the driving through LA county; I hate the traffic! We mainly went home to see the family. Ti-Ti was in the hospital not too long ago for dehydration and was later diagnosed with the beginning stages of dementia. It's hard to talk to her on the phone because she can't hear well either. We thought surprising her with a visit would be the best thing. She was surprised and she seemed happy the whole time we were home. The one funny incident was when I was giving Jonah a bath. She brought a bath towel in for him, stood around, and then suddenly asked "is that a boy or girl?" She has good days and she has bad days...like we all do; she's 85...
We took the boys to Legoland and the train museum at Balboa Park. My whole life I lived just minutes away from Balboa Park - even walking distance. But never was it more fun than going there with Noah and Jonah! We parked near the carousel and as we got out of the car Noah heard music from Star Wars; he's really getting into Star Wars...but neither wanted to ride the carousel; it was going too fast. We rode the little train!
I had to do some speed shopping too. Big Lots, Target (the BIG Target), and 99Ranch. Sure, we got those stores up here too, but it's just so nice to shop at places where you know exactly where things are -- and thing are a little cheaper at home...
Can't wait for the next break. We plan to make home our first stop again...Home Sweet Home!
Back to regular blogging too...

Happy to know Ti-Ti is back on her foot again.
May God bless all the young and old
in the family.
