Indiana Jones in the Making

I sometimes think Jonah knows more than he lets on for a nearly four-year-old. He not as impulsive as Noah and usually he doesn't talk as much -- but when he does talk about something I wonder when he'll finish (didn't know he knew *that* many words yet).

Yesterday we were buying some groceries at the Commissary. Jonah told me he spotted a coin on the ground, but it was close to the feet of the two young people bagging our stuff. (many high school kids work for tips bagging groceries there and they bag in-tandem.) Anyways, I told him he could pick it up, but he just stood there carefully watching the baggers move back and forth; placing our groceries in the bag and then turning around to put the bag in the cart. Suddenly he said "ooh, that's a Boobie Trap." His usual reference to whatever he's learned from Indiana Jones. He hasn't even seen any of the movies, but he plays the Nintendo DS video game like he's training for some big competition. Surprisingly he knows more about that game than Noah.

Eventually he got the coin and was very excited.
